Rennes teen sensation Eduardo Camavinga is apparently one of Real Madrid’s top targets. Camavinga however has been urged to snub any interest.
“It would do him good to stay at least one more year at Rennes,” said the Ligue-1 club manager Julien Stéphan in a conversation with AFP.
“He’s in a place he knows well. A club that has enormous trust in him,” he added.

Player Profile:
Camavinga is considered the next Claude Makelele. This is no surprise with his performances indicating maturity beyond the years.
The midfielder has further earned admiring glances from Manchester United, with Paul Pogba’s future not yet certain.
Real Madrid are in the driver’s seat when it comes to negotiations. Juni Calafat – the man responsible for discovering club targets, is maintaining regular tabs.
17-year-old Eduardo Camavinga was the only player to make 100+ tackles in the 2019/20 Ligue 1 season.

However, with Rennes qualifying for the UCL, an initial fee upwards of £50million as quoted might not be enough. This might very well result in the Los Blancos withdrawing their interest.
The Ligue-1 club are desperate to keep Camavinga for at least one year, which is certainly an interesting development in the current context.
“Next year he will have to back up his excellent performances this year. It will be the next step,” stated Stéphan.
The transfer saga could very well be braced for an exciting finish. Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær is desperate to beef up his squad. Solskjær has hinted previously at a busy summer, which is interesting indeed.
