The English Premier League (EPL) is back with a bang! We got one of the biggest games of the season on our hands, as Manchester United take on Liverpool.

Can Ole Gunnar Solskjaer raise the dampened spirits of the fans with an unexpected win? Or will table-toppers Liverpool maintain their unbeaten surge with another sublime performance!

Solskjaer signed a three-year contract to take over as the United manager on a permanent basis on 28 March 2019. This move was hailed by the fans, who termed it as a delight. However, the season has been underwhelming so far with wins hard to come by. Will this clash mark the beginning of a much-needed turnaround?

Advantage Liverpool as David de Gea misses out

It will certainly not be easy considering the absence of fan favourite David De Gea due to injury. However, there is some good news as well at the same time, with attacker Anthony Martial expected to be fit. The Frenchman has been among the goals this season much to Solskjaer‘s delight, and will be expected to make the difference against an astute Liverpool side.

Whilst, on the goal front Manchester United are dependent on Martial and Rashford, Liverpool have seen their goals spread across the team with their lethal front three tearing defences apart. The trio being Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.

They have further been astute in the midfield and defence, on the back of quality performances from Georginio Wijnaldum and Virgil Van Dijk. Manchester United, on the other hand, have struggled despite the addition of record signing Harry Maguire with star midfielder Paul Pogba battling injuries.

Liverpool were the better of the two sides last season and they certainly start favourites. However, there is every chance of Manchester United rediscovering their mojo in this massive clash, and ruling them out would be a folly, to say the least.

All in all, it promises to be a good game and an exciting one at that. Who will come out on top, Klopp or Solskjaer?
