All-rounder Nathan Coulter Nile was purchased for Rs 8 crore, after a fierce bidding war with CSK. Chris Lynn was signed for his base price of Rs 2 crore, which seems nothing short of a bargain.
The Mumbai Indians went all out for domestic additions like Saurabh Tiwary, Digvijay Deshmukh, Prince Balwant Rai Singh and Mohsin Khan. This has helped ensure quality backup options for the likes of Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Krunal and Hardik Pandya.
